The first of course, is Blessings from Above. 50% of any donation will go towards the research and content that you find on this blog. The other 50% will go towards Convoy of Hope, a Christian organization that helps others in times of need much like the Red Cross.
Whenever disaster strikes, Convoy of Hope are one of the first to respond. To date,
22, 904, 565 people have received water, food, housing assistance and more. Just recently, after Hurricane Ike, Convoy of Hope has distributed relief supplies in the amount of: 66 truckloads, 1.5 million lbs., valued at $1.9 million and has helped Texas communities: Cleveland, Houston, Humble, Port Arthur, and San Antonio. And someday, they could help you should your area be struck with a disaster (let's pray against that!)
Throughout the year, when they are not responding to disasters, Convoy of Hope goes on the road for community outreach. This includes meeting human and spiritual needs of those people in unfortunate situtations. I've been lucky to be able to participate in an event that took place in Camden, NJ, a few years ago serving food to those who showed. Not only did we give them something to eat, but tents were set up for them to learn more about the Lord.
